Some say you only have 1 birthday, the day you were born.
Others say 100, just to set a goal. Good one by the way!!
So do we celebrate our birthdays? Do we let them sneak by so we don't have to face the time gone, it represents?
Not sure, each to his / her own I guess.
I personally take my birthday, has a time to reflect on my Mom, appreciate her for bringing me into this world. My Mom had a few bad experiences from the time she had my sister 4 years previous. She lost another child and and other factors in her life at that time.
So all things being equal she wasn't supposed to try to have anymore children let alone give birth again.
So I thank her for me!
For being her typical unwavering, relentless self. Never taking no for an answer, always fighting the tough times head on with a coat of armor. She is a wonderful, beautiful person that has inspired me to be everything I am today.
So when I think of my birthdays; I think of my Mom and give this day each year to her.
Love you Mom
